o Switching – exchanging the coin from one hand to another

o Ditching – secretly disposing of the coin, such as up your sleeve, when the audience is not looking

o Stealing – secretly acquiring a coin, such as taking a coin hidden on your sleeve and bringing it to your hand when the audience is not looking

o Simulation – Fooling the audience that something just happened, when nothing actually did

o Loading – sneakily moving the coin elsewhere you need it

o Diversion – redirecting audience’s attention, so you can sneakily set up your magic trick.

Try practicing these Sleight of Hand methods again and again until you master it, before proceeding to other more complicated magic tricks such as card tricks or levitation tricks.

It takes some practice and effort to be able to perform coin magic tricks well, but that time spent will definitely be rewarded in your audience’s reaction to your trick. It’s good to learn a few coin tricks to perform in quick succession, that way you won’t risk having people make you perform the same trick again and again, and find out how you’re doing it.

There are plenty of popular mentalism tricks which are wonderful and often times impossible to believe mentalism and psychological wizardry acts performed nowadays. From David Blaine’s levitation to Criss Angel’s walking on water.
Mentalism is everywhere, from the TV to the web, and can be learned by nearly anybody. But they’re still just that, tricks. Here’s a catalogue of popular mentalism tricks that appear to be the standard routine with many mentalists. Though they may add their own twist to it, it is pretty much the same basic principle.

The teaspoon trick – This trick is composed of biting a chunk of metal off and then restoring it back. This is mostly done with a spoon but many mentalists have put their own spin to it, for example David Blaine employing a coin. This trick has been seen everywhere particularly viral video sites like youtube. So many people have done this trick and though it looked so not possible, its methods have been exposed and there are such a lot of methods to execute this trick with aid from a trick spoon or coin.

The Balducci Levitation Trick – This trick has been done by so many mentalists and in such a lot of ways. Actually there are a range of ways levitation can be accomplished. Levitation has been one of the most puzzling and not possible things to reach and when this is done at street-level in front of many onlookers, it could be a sight to behold.

The most popular way of doing this trick is to use a couple of special pants which holds its shape even as you move your exact legs out of them through a special opening at the rear. You could rise only three or five inches but it is all in the display.

The cigarette through the coin trick – This straightforward but effective trick which fundamentally is putting a lit cigarette through a coin and taking it back out in one piece. This is done by a special novelty coin that has an opening which briefly permits the cigarette to pass through and then closes again baffling the spectators as the way the cigarette went through a solid object.

The voodoo ash trick – This is really popular with the people. It involves writing a name on a notepad unseen by you and then tearing it off. The piece of paper with the name is then crumpled firmly and placed within an ashtray. The paper is then lit and left to burn. The ashes of the paper are then rubbed on your arm and mysteriously the name written on the paper appears.

Again this trick uses plenty of misdirection as you must be in a position to read the imprint of the name on the notepad, then write the name on your arm with soap or wax to that the ash sticks to making the name appear. Viola!

Performing magic tricks is a lot of fun. Everyone loves seeing a great magic trick. However, many of the magic tricks are too difficult for just anyone to learn. There are some tricks that are easier to do and are also entertaining. Here is a fun and easy coin trick that anyone can do that’s fun and will entertain people.

All that’s needed for this coin trick is ten pennies (or any coin will do) and a hat or paper bag. The coins need to all have a different date on them. They should be placed in the hat or paper bag. You will also need a group of people – at least 10 or so – to make this trick work. You will see why in a few seconds.

What you will do is give the coin or hat to one person in the group. Ask them to examine all the coins to make sure they have different dates. Once that is confirmed, ask that person to choose one coin out of the hat (or bag). Then have them pass the coin to every person in the group so they can all see the date. Once everyone has looked at the coin, then have them place that coin back in the hat (or bag) and take the hat back. Reach into the hat and pull out the coin that was chosen. They’ll be amazed that you chose the right one.

It’s not difficult to perform this trick. You aren’t required to do anything but to choose the coin that is the warmest. Remember the coin that was chosen was passed to every person in the group so that would make that coin warmer than all the rest. Yet no one will really figure that out. But to make the entire trick work you have to be sure that the coin has a chance to get warm. So make sure that it passes through plenty of hands and is handled by enough people. Otherwise this easy trick won’t work and it won’t be fun and it won’t impress anyone.

This really is a fun and easy coin trick. Yet it’s also very entertaining and will impress everyone who sees it. You just need to make sure that you have enough people in the group so that the coin will be warmed up from being handled. If you do then you can’t go wrong with this trick.
