This person believes that he picked the card he wanted. Indeed, no, he picked the card which the illusionist gave to him.

In some rare cases, the audience does not pick that specific card but another one. Although the set up, the person picks another one. The magician is still prepared for this scenario. He follows this surprise card with attention. During the shuffle, he follows this new card with his eyes and hands and puts it to the back of the deck. He knows that this card at the end of the deck.

Even the never ending cuts and mixes of the deck of the cards, this specific card is located at the end of the deck all the time. Then he shows this card to the person with a very wise facial expression, saying that can your selection be that one?

The result? Of course amazing all the time. The audience surprises one more time and starts doubting if this man can really read minds of others.

If you want to make people that you can read their minds, you do not have to do it really. By learning how to apply some tricks, you can make people around you to believe that you can read minds.

Have you ever been out on a date and you wondered what the girl was thinking? I think we have all been in that position. A comedian once said “A woman’s mind is as complex as the contents of her handbag; even when you get to the bottom of it, there is ALWAYS something at the bottom to surprise you!” It is very hard to know what is going on in the mind of the fairer sex. For years I have been using magic to break the ice and meet gorgeous women. It has even got me quite a few dates. So what kinds of things do I use? I love mind reading tricks. I love any trick that can be done with seemingly normal objects. I love tricks that get me the girl’s phone number.

Any mind reading trick will do, but if it works it is even better. That was my attempt at humor. Now you see why I am a magician and not a comedian. Here is a simple effect you can try to prove that you know what she is thinking. Tell her that you feel connected to her. Then tell her that you want to prove how connected you really are. Ask her to say out loud the first number that comes to her head that is between 50-100, both numbers are different and both numbers are even. When she says 68 (which 95% of people do) you pull out a piece of paper which you prepared earlier. It has the number 68 inside a simple heart shape. If she says 86 you could have another piece of paper ready, but usually I just make a joke of it and say, “yep, that’s what I thought you would say.”

Tricks that are done with seemingly normal objects are the best. There is a great trick you can perform with a soda/beer can. If the liquid level is just below half (play with it ahead of time) you can balance the soda can on its bottom curved edge. The can will be cocked over at a weird angle and will attract attention when it is pointed out. After the effect is complete take a drink (which will make it impossible to repeat) and ask another guy sitting nearby to try it. He won’t be able to do it. You have trumped him.

Tricks that get me the girl’s number are the best tricks ever. There are number tricks you can do which you ask for the girl’s number to start out the trick. There are also some apps out there for iPhone and android phones that do mind reading tricks and text the answer to the spectator’s phone. This is a great way to get her number, because after all it’s for a trick right? You have just taken all the stress out of getting a pretty girl’s number.

Magic can be a great way to break the ice and get to know a woman who is truly out of your league. Use magic that makes her believe you have a connection. Make common items magical.
