This trick is great for when there are a few people sitting around a table either eating, drinking, or doing both. What you want to do is rip off part of a paper napkin and then wind it up into a tight strand. Next let the people sitting around know that you are going to move the paper strand with your energy.

The next step to perform this easy mentalism trick is to begin to rub the area all around the paper strand. Make circles around the strand. Keep rubbing the area and tell the people sitting around that you are trying to create the necessary energy to move the object. By saying this and by making small circles around the strand, you are calling everyone’s attention to the strand.

Then let everyone know that you are about to move the strand. Draw in heavy breaths, making it seem like you are trying to summon a lot of energy. Then wave your hand over the strand and begin wiggling your fingers back and forth quickly. This will keep everyone’s attention on the strand. While everyone is looking at the strand, blow out slightly with your mouth so that you move the strand. As your air moves the strand, keep your hand over it so it looks like the energy from you hand is moving the strand.
